We finally packed up and headed down to Bama. We were so glad to finally introduce Amelia to everyone who had not met her yet. We had a VERY busy trip! We got to see lots of people though, so that was nice. Sadly, I left my camera at Mom's on Saturday so I have NO pictures of the 2 birthday parties that Tybee and Amelia got to go to. Hopefully my sweet friends (Amber, Jackie, Heather) will post some so that I can get them on here. Clay got to go to the Bama game with Landon on Saturday and he had lots of fun (the 2nd half). Roll Tide! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
Matching babies ready to go to Alabama
We were a little worried about how the car ride would go considering that we were traveling during the day and do not have a dvd player... These two pictures were before our Alabama trip, but proof of our reasons for worry...
It's hard to ride/drive like this...
The lady sitting in this picture is one of the many reasons we need to thank the Good Lord every day for our blessings. Maw Maw Carver was told that she had cancer around the time that Amelia was born and was very sick with pneumonia. After several hard weeks and many many prayers from friends in family, the doctors informed her that she in fact does not have cancer. I believe that it was nothing short of a miracle and we are so grateful. We were so happy to be able to visit with a much better Maw Maw and Paw Paw Carver. Count your blessings, people!
Amelia decided to pose.
Four generations
Amelia showed Maw Maw her pretty grin.
Wonder what they were looking at?
Clay was all about the cows this visit. Tybee really liked them too. Every time I looked at them they were pooping, just not a good thing to be around... ugh.
These two are going to have fun this Christmas :) They are finally the ages that they can really play together. Of course, Tybee would not look at the camera.
Maw Maw Carolyn and Paw Paw Don were so happy to get to meet Miss Amelia for the first time as well.
Apparently, Tybee decided that she was going to act like a five year old at the big kids table. She was ALL about it! It was reported to me that the child ate 3 HOT DOGS! I don't know if it was the fact that she had eaten cake all day at birthday parties or that she just doesn't get to eat hot dogs much, but I have never seen this child eat that much!
Anya and Tybee
My Aunt Susan and Amelia.
I was so glad that Dad's sisters Susan and Carol and my cousins Kim and Robyn got to come see the girls! I didn't get a picture with everyone, unfortunately, but there was a lot going on!
Having fun drawing
Carryn and Ricky
Tybee with her sheepy hat on, a little pre-halloween fun ;)
Mattie and Page with Millie Moo
Coach Head and I, saying roll tide :)
We made one more visit to Maw Maw Carver's before we left.
Tybee felt very strongly that she needed all of these things for her ride home. She rode back most of the way holding all of this (Elmo, Sheepy, blankie, pillow, and her P).
And one more stop before we were "really" on the way in Chattanooga to see Gary and Ashley.
Riding from Kentucky to Alabama should only take about 6 hours. When you throw in a toddler and a newborn, it takes MUCH longer. We had to call Pet Suites and tell them Hank and Tag would be staying with them one more night... poor boys. The fact that we thought we would be back to pick them up at 8 was very funny to us as we pulled in to our driveway closer to 11. I have a feeling that the road to Bama will be less traveled by us than it used to be :(. We were happy to have been able to see everyone we did but would have loved more time with everyone. We are looking forward to this week to take part in all of our Halloween festivities...stay tuned for Moo Moo Millie and Sheepy Tybee :)
