We decided that we needed to get out of the house with the family a couple of weeks ago. We weren't sure just what we wanted to do, but we were in the mood for a little road trip. Gatlinburg is a little less than four hours from us so we decided to look and see if we could find a place to stay. We booked it and headed to Gatlinburg EARLY Saturday morning and were there by breakfast. Aside from a little diaper incident when we got there, life was good at The Apple Barn.

After breakfast, we headed up to Clingmans . We had tried to go there last year and it was just too foggy and it was snowing. We were very lucky to have a nice clear day to go up.Dome
We opted for the double stroller up the hill, because we assumed that Tybee would only walk for a little while and it would be a lot easier to push her than carry her... you can ask Clay how he felt about that. It was awfully steep, and I am pretty sure people thought we were nuts.

The hotel room experience was quite interesting with Miss Tybee. She is used to going to sleep on her own without her entire family participating, so needless to say, it was hard for her. Clay and I played musical beds all night and we even got to be a part of Tybee's dance party with Elmo at 3 a.m. It was AWESOME!
We did make it through the night though and headed to Pancake Pantry. Tybee was eagerly anticipating her pancakes.
And then back home we came for our weekly pictures- 13weeks for Amelia, and 23 months for Tybee!
We really love our family time. Clay and Tybee are in a band together, they have a super fun time. We love our sweet girls and appreciate the wonderful time we have with them to make great memories.
