Why do we have chairs?
For sitting you say- but that's not how it works
(in our house anyway).
From the time she wakes up
Miss Tybee is on
Running, dancing, and talking on her phone
This little girl, she knows just how to ask
For a snack, or some juice, or more time in the bath
She often signs "please" with a smile on her face
And "more" looks like time out in any other case
At times when she's bad, or pitches a fit
She sits in time out-just for a bit
But that doesn't phase her- nope not at all
She dances in the corner- having a ball!
She will dance to the same song again and again
And chase Hank and Tag, 'till they finally give in
She can empty a drawer, or toy box, or shelf
Quicker than you can get there yourself!
She uses the remote and selects "record all"
And if she finds a cell phone, she'll give you a call
But tell me, if you can-
WHERE IS THIS ENERGY FROM?
If you know, can you bottle it
And then bring me some?
This child she brings so much laughter and fun-
And in not too long, we'll have another one!

How sweet. Much nicer than my poems...you know which ones I am talking about..You should frames this and put her foot/hand prints on it so you can remember how small she was when she inspired you to write this.
