Natalie vs. Cabin Fever: Chapter 1

The main motivation of this post is to kick start my fight against cabin fever. I am just not used to this cold weather and the lack of outside activities because of it. Thankfully, my dearest husband and mother decided to purchase FANTASTIC Christmas presents for me that I may tackle this problem.

soon, I shall paint like Bob Ross....

while speaking to you in espanol...
I am excited about this mostly because Clay has a bigger load than usual this semester with his masters classes and I will have something to do in the evenings while he studies.

Also, on my horizon is to finish Tybee's Birthday book. I did one of these for Curt, my friend Carrie Beth's little boy for his 1st Birthday and decided to do one for Tybee too. I would LOVE-LOVE-LOVE to start doing these for people for a little pocket change...so if you are interested or know anyone, let me know. I really enjoy making something original and meaningful out of our memories, so this is right up my ally. Here are just a few of the pages from Tybee's so far.

And Lord help us, I am trying to become less awkward in the kitchen. This is my Vanilla Yogurt Cake I made- Ina taught me ;)

Tybee is doing alright stuck inside- she finds a way to have fun wherever she is... yes that is my bracelet in her mouth.

Towel on the head- for those of you who knew me as a child you can see that the apple doesn't fall far...

As you see Tybee has her purse helping me with my next new hobby: COUPONING! I am pretty fired up about it. No, I am not like the extreme couponers on TLC, but I am learning. My first time around I saved $35 off of a $95 grocery bill. I was pretty pleased. I really need to find more ways to get more coupons though...I think it will be fun just to see what all I can get. It really is like a game to the people who do it "for real". I will keep you updated on how I do. It is time consuming, but I have got a pretty good system worked out.
Well, wish me luck on my journey :) I will let you know about our new projects, who knows the next post could be in Spanish...
