Mom and Dad got to come up for a visit last weekend and we rode out to Frankfort to tour the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Tybee translated this to, "Going to watch drinks get made." It was a good tour-free and very generous samples at the end (for all you bourbon tasters out there).
One of the many barrels
This was my third distillery so far. They are all a lot alike, but you seem to learn something new each time you go. Tybee liked the horses on the bottle tops.
Amelia kept snug as a bug on the tour- it was a COLD day!
Tybee was very happy her NaNee and Grandy came because she finally got her Christmas present!!!
She calls it her 'wagon wheel'. This is due to her Uncle Landon singing Wagon Wheel to her with his guitar. She doesn't call the song wagon wheel though, she calls it "Landon's song". Cute, right?
And oh yes... Mamma made another desert!!! CHEEEEEESECAKE! Homemade style- FYI. And that on top my friends, is a homemade strawberry compote, no canned topping for this girl, no sir! It was good too! I should probably also mention that Clay prepared us a seafood extravaganza before we ate this- two points to him as well.
We enjoyed our visit with NaNee and Grandy! Thanks for coming!!!
