This year was Amelia's first dance recital! She had spent the whole year before watching her sister dance through the studio window and this year, it was finally her turn to join in!! She really liked dance class, although we had a little trouble keeping she and her buddies inside the room during the full class. When it came to their recital dance they were hit or miss on participation, so we were a little worried about what would go down on recital night. Amelia's dance was to a jack-in-the-box song and they were SO cute!!! She absolutely adored her teacher, Miss Courtney- in fact I think that may have been the only reason she participated so willingly. She and her class were just too cute and sweet at their first recital! We are taking a little break from dance, but I think she will be excited to try dance again next spring!
Tybee did a great job at her recital as well. This was her second, so she was an old pro at it! She got to do two dances- one tap and one ballet. I don't think she was as into it this year as last, so we will have to check back in to see if the dancing bug has flown away forever or not.
We were so proud to see our little cuties up on stage. Something about seeing them up there on their own doing what they've been practicing and being proud of themselves just gives you a happy feeling. I think their favorite part was getting to wear a little blush and mascara and lipgloss- they thought they were the stuff!
We were very proud of these tiny dancers and so glad the Grandmothers got to come see all the cuteness as well!
