Princess Tybee had a lovely royal birthday party this year! She wanted everything to be pink and gold! Usually I just have at it and do what I think that she would like, but this year she really wanted to have a say-so! She helped me pick out just about everything for the party, she even pitched in on some of the craftiness in getting things ready. Child even helped bake her own cake!
Even more special is that we got to use my grandmother's "pretties" in the party decorating. My Mimi would absolutely eat Tybee up right now! She loves the fancy and frilly just as much as Mimi did. They would be big buddies!
For those of you who didn't know, my mom is an excellent baker and decorator of cakes. This year she went for FOUR, count them, 1,2,3, FOUR cakes for Tybee's party. So pretty, so sweet! Tybee really did feel like the belle of the ball! Thank you (x4) for Tybee's lovely cakes, Mom!
And the best part- getting together with our friends and family to celebrate! We have the best buddies in the whole entire world! We had lots of fun dressing up and eating lots of goodies.
I don't know how it happened, but this girl just blew out 4 candles!
We love our Tybee so much. She is so Tybee and that is really the only way I know how to describe her. She is complicated and simple. She is sensitive and smart and the best big sister. She loves her family and misses them. She soaks up good times and looks forward to more. She is sure of herself. She is happy. She is kind-hearted and stubborn. She is a good leader and a friendly follower.
She is Tybee and we love her more than we could ever explain.
