We kicked our 4th of July weekend off with some exploring! We packed our gear and headed off to the Natural Bridge State Park for a little hike. This was Tybee's first hike and she seemed to like it- if the hike was not what she loved, it was all the attention she got on the trail. (She did look super cute). After our hike we drove through the Red River Gorge which has been closed for a little while due to a bear attack. We had a lovely day and I collected all of the pamplets for all of the state parks in Kentucky, so we have many more hikes ahead! Enjoy, my friends!
Ready for the hike!
The begining of the trail was steep
trail=lovely
Family pic- Clay was talking...
He was not standing as close as it looks like. We realized after we hiked down that we should have walked over to that rock you see in the distance. I think it has a pretty good view of the bridge.
They are very serious about this view.
Clay took a picture of me to be nice. This is my cheesy grin.
This is the path we walked through to get to the top of the natural bridge. It reminds me of the Fat Man Squeeze at Noccalulla Falls.
Skinny path
